Agent Spotlight: Emily McClintock
Emily McClintock has been selling real estate on the North Shore for almost 30 years. She finds it very rewarding helping clients make their move - whether it's a first home, a move across town, a scale down, or a move across the country.
Emily says that her job has always been about building relationships, and that’s why she makes sure every client has her full attention and care. She ends up working with clients multiple times and in some cases, has helped 3 generations of families with their real estate needs.
One of Emily’s most memorable real estate experiences was when she listed and sold a former "pony stall" turned residence on the bluff of Lake Michigan. The home is steeped in history, and the fact that the family entrusted her with the sale made it something she will never forget.
What advice does Emily have for other agents?

One of her favorite locally owned Evanston restaurants is Koi on Davis Street. She enjoys their delicious sushi and loves the fact that they constantly give back to the community.
When Emily is not working, she loves spending time with her three children and her family and friends. You may find her running along the lakefront, enjoying a theater show, and most recently, learning how to play golf!

Before things got under way, she explained the entire process, clearly and in just the right amount of detail. She offered a number of excellent suggestions for relatively inexpensive improvements to make prior to putting the house on the market. (We are so glad we took her advice there.)
Sandy made all the arrangements for staging the empty house and for having it professionally photographed (and there was no additional charge for any of this). We could not have been more pleased with the results: her crew made the house look spectacular. Sandy marketed the house aggressively: she held public open houses on the first and second weekends, and between those two, an open house for brokers. We had an offer ten days after the house was listed.
Sandy was amazing in dealing with the results of the Buyer's house inspection. Sandy arranged five additional inspections: by a roofer, a mold remediator, a general contractor, a structural carpenter, and an electrician. Relying on those additional inspections, Sandy offered us great advice on what to have repaired, what to give a credit for (and how much), and where to hold the line. And once we decided to have mold remediation and electrical repairs done, Sandy made all the arrangements. It's hard for us to believe that other realtors would have gone so far to help us.
Whenever we had questions, Sandy always got back to us very, very quickly. We trusted her completely with the sale of our home.
One last thing. Sandy has a way of taking the stress out of the whole process, and we really appreciated that!
